Many of the political issues of today can be solved (or at least improved) through education. From gun-control and abortion to the economy and the environment, education is the key. By education, I do not necessarily mean schooling or formal education. I also mean that the American people should be informed by our government. I mean that the research funded by our government should be impartial. And, yes, I mean that people should be afforded the opportunity to receive a formal education or formal job training.
I have included here some of my views. Please read my views on the issues that interest you. Also, all of these are posted on the feedback forum to allow for discussion. Register for the site (it's free) and post your views.
But first, there are two things I would like to stress. One, these views represent my current stance. I am posting them and requesting feedback to continue expanding my understanding of the subjects and to learn from the views of other people. I do expect these views to change slightly between now and when I run for President. Second, my views are not based on the view of either party. I mention this because I have been told that some of my views sound like an attempt to avoid taking a stance. The truth is that my views are what I believe would be best for the American people, regardless of the major parties. By looking at every issue through the lens of partisan politics, we are accepting that only their views are relevant. Also, we miss out on creative and original ideas. Therefore, I ask you not to compare my views to the major parties. Instead, ask yourself how you they compare to your own view of the issues.
